Mental Health Social Workers
Mental Health Social Worker - Fiona Cuskelly
Fiona is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and is a registered as a Medicare Provider. Some children and adolescents will be able to access a G.P. Mental Health Care Plan and will be eligible for a Medicare rebate.
Fiona can help children, adolescents and young adults who may have some issues with anxiety and phobias, depression or other mood disorders, trauma, emotional regulation, grief and loss and relationship difficulties with peers or family. Fiona is able to assist children and adolescents or parents in individual sessions or work with parents and children together to assist strengthening communication and relationships.
Fiona has significant experience in child and adolescent mental health settings and has a holistic approach when working with clients and families. Fiona has a Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Applied Science with a major in Psychology and has completed a Developmental Psychiatry Course which had a focus on assessment of children and adolescents.
Fiona has experience with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and Skills Training such as social skills, stress management, parenting skills and emotional regulation.
Fiona is passionate about working with children and adolescents and their families, wishing to assist them improve their quality of life.

Psychologist - Dr Barbara Haddon
Dr Barbara Haddon has extensive experience working in private practice and has worked with clients who are unemployed in the public sector. Barbara has a strong interest in women's health, spending many years in the medical research field investigating factors contributing to such conditions as endometriosis and infertility.
Barbara is a firm believer in holistic wellbeing and takes a positive, integrated approach to supporting strong emotional and physical health, recognising the importance of the mind-body connection. Barbara supports Clients to use their strengths, as they progress towards their goals. Her approach is solution-focused and practical, including a blend of psycho-education, skills training and cognitive-behavioural therapy.
Barbara has lived on the Sunshine Coast with her husband and two daughters since 1999. She is committed to giving back to the region and has a history of community engagement.

Psychologist - Nicola Mitchell
Nicola is a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and is registered as a Medicare provider so that Medicare rebates are available for clients referred by a GP. Nicola can help with issues such as anxiety, depression or other mood disorders, phobias, substance abuse problems, adjustment disorders and managing transitional change, trauma, pain, grief and loss, relationship problems, parenting and sexual problems. She is also experienced in vocational counselling.
As a married mother of two, Nicola knows how difficult it can be to balance home and career and the stresses that this can cause. So, she can also help with managing everyday stress and conflict and achieving that all elusive sense of happiness and well-being.
As required by Medicare, Nicola uses therapies that have been shown by extensive research to be effective. Her approach is solution-oriented, very practical and designed to help you achieve your goals in the shortest possible time.

Psychologist - Jenny Cook
Jennifer is a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and is registered as a Medicare provide. She is also registered with Workcover and EAP services.
She has experience in both the public and private sectors, having worked in adult mental health, disability services and in private hospital and private practice settings both here on the Sunshine Coast and in Brisbane. In addition, she is currently working towards a Masters in Clinical Psychology.
Jennifer values holistic health care and working collaboratively within a team of practitioners with various specialties including your GP help you become the best version of yourself. She provides a non-judgmental, confidential space in which to tackle your concerns, no matter how small they may seem. Having recently had her first baby, she is familiar with the struggles faced by working mums juggling family and work life and can teach you strategies to achieve balance and a sense of peace and fulfillment.
